Abilene Children’s Art & Literacy Festival Continues

Smiles were everywhere as day two of the Children’s Art and Literacy Festival filled downtown Abilene with music, storytelling and family fun on Friday.

Children by the dozens lined up for face painting, balloon animals and hands on activities. Others danced along to live performances and gathered for story time with their favorite books and characters. The excitement was easy to see as families explored booths and celebrated the joy of reading and imagination.

The celebration continues Saturday with events beginning at 9 a.m., offering another full day of activities.
